About the Teacher:

I was born and raised in Moore, Oklahoma. I moved to Broomfield with my family when I was a junior in high school. I attended Northglenn High School and graduated in 2002. Then I attended CU Boulder and received my BA in History and Secondary Education in December 2006. My first job was at a middle school in Denver in the spring of 2006. This is my second year teaching at Century Middle School. This year I am also excited to be the co-sponsor of the Comet Leadership Team.

I have been married for 1 year to my husband Rocky. My husband and I are in a band together and we play a lot of shows locally in Denver. We also have a cat named Merlin and a dog named Gypsy.

I am very proud to be a teacher at Century Middle School home of the Comets! I know that this school year is going to be fantastic! I love history and geography and hope to instill a passion and understanding for Social Studies in all of my students. I also hope to inspire my students to become analytical and knowledgeable citizens of the world.
