Welcome to Choir and Beginning Strings!
Our Choir Program is offered to all students in grades 6th- 8th who love singing! Students will develop vocal music skills and techniques necessary for individual and group musical experiences. Students will develop musical literacy skills as well. Students will be required to participate in evening performances (at least one per trimester) as well as some during the school day. The purchase of a choir uniform is required. Any student who is enrolled in any music class may audition for Show Choir which meets outside of the regular school day.
Our Beginning Strings program is offered to 6th grade students who would like to learn to play the violin, viola, cello or string bass. Basic musical skills will be taught. No previous experience is necessary. Students maintain their own instruments which may be rented or purchased with the exception of the cello and string bass. These will be provided by the school for student use. Students will be required to participate in evening performances (at least one per trimester) as well as some during the school day.
