We will need 30-40 parent chaperones for this event. A letter will go home next week.
This week we focused on multiplying decimals, emphasizing estimation and fractions to explain what is happening.
Week 9/8-9/11 (no school Monday)
Focus continued to investigate addition and subtraction for decimals, HOWEVER, we studied this using Fractions.

This week we focused on answering two essential questions:
1) How does place value help us add and subtract decimals?
2) How does the fraction method help explain why you can line up the decimals and add digits with the same place value to find the answer?
