located on the white board at the front of the classroom.
Scientist: (15 pts.)Write one paragraph, 6-8 sentences, on the person's contributions to science.
Analogy: (10 pts.) Fill in the correct word in the missing blank to complete the relationship.
Word: (5 pts.)Read the definition of the word, then write a definition in your own words.
***Detentions will be assigned for every third Discipline Slip, beginning with the sixth. Notice will be given to the students in writing at least two days prior to the scheduled detention.
Grading will be in accordance with District and School Policies. Grades are divided into four categories, Test/Quiz, Labs, Projects, and Class/homework, each being worth 25% of the trimester average. We will begin Homework in class with complete instructions and directions. Long -term assignments such as reports, investigations, experiments and problem solving will be assigned with sufficient notice. Late work for full credit will not be accepted, unless it is the result of an excused absence. Ten points will be deducted for each day late, a maximum grade of 70% after 5 school days.
